WHY I WRITE

As a child I was afraid of the dark, of dogs, of my mother, of myself. It took me years to learn to twist and bend that fear into both sword and shield. Every story or poem or scribble or fragment I wrote helped to shape my armory.

 

I firmly believe that there is beauty in the terrifying and terror in the beautiful. Love is not some unblemished rose; the monstrosity has been there all along.
